Safety on the river

Your day, run safely

  • Life jackets for everyone, fitted before we leave the jetty.
  • Experienced skippers and maintained boats with safety equipment and a first-aid kit on board.
  • Wildlife awareness — the Zambezi has hippos and crocodiles; we keep safe distances and you stay in the boat.
  • Weather calls — we adjust or reschedule if conditions make fishing unsafe.

Seasons & conditions

When to fish

Fishing on the Zambezi changes through the year with water levels and temperature. Tigerfish activity is often strongest in the warmer months, while the river fishes differently as levels rise and fall. Tell us when you're travelling and we'll give you an honest view of what to expect — we never guarantee a catch, but we'll always put you on good water.
